For over 27 years, Mark has been serving the people of Hampshire County at The Registry of Probate & Family Court with compassion and competency.

On January 16, 2024, he was sworn in as Temporary Register of Probate after the retirement of Michael J. Carey, former Hampshire County Register of Probate.

After confirmation by the Governor’s Council, Mark was sworn in as Register of Probate by Governor Maura Healey on April 22, 2024.

The Probate & Family Court handles Massachusetts Trial Court matters including adoption, divorce, paternity, custody, visitation, as well as estates, guardianships, and name changes. The Register is the keeper of record and serves as the administrative head of office.
